Laurie is a very good cook and I have a healthy appetite, so after she moved to the ranch we converted the tool shed into the kitchen.  We put in a couple of windows and knocked a hole in the wall between the two rooms.  It was the first room to get a full make-over (paint and everything!) For 2 years, I had been using a bucket as a sink. When Laurie moved to the ranch, she used the bucket as well, but she longed for a sink, so when we built the kitchen, I tried my hand at plumbing.  We installed a water heater and a sink and then we made a french drain which is still in use today.  Our nearest neighbors, Neil and Sue, gave us some slate tile they had left over from when they built their house, so we used it to build a unique and stylish countertop.
